Chapter 603 World 61
Chapter 603 World 61
“We were originally going to the lake, but we happened to pass by the temple and noticed some noise inside, so we came over.”
"Yes, we didn't know you were here, Stella. We thought there were bad guys around."
"I'm sorry, Stella, did we bother you?"
The elf cubs chattered amongst themselves, and Stella listened patiently to each one, comforting them before bidding them farewell and leaving.
Although Stella no longer has wings, she is still quite fast and arrived at the Elf Palace without incident.
“Stella,” Garcia, who was waiting outside the door, was the first to spot her and gave her a big hug. “Congratulations on finally getting what you wanted.”
"Thank you," Stella hugged Garcia back, nuzzling her shoulder as if it were a habit. "So this is what it feels like to be close to Garcia as an adult!"
Garcia had a gentle smile on his face, and his eyes were so tender they seemed to melt your heart.
Garcia gently patted her shoulder: "The king is still waiting for you."
Stella obediently got up and pushed open the door in front of her.
"king!"
Knowing that Stella was right outside the door, the Elf King had already put down his pen.
After she entered, the Elf King observed her carefully for a moment, nodded in satisfaction, and immediately gave her a storage ring.
Stella didn't stand on ceremony with him. She picked it up and used her magic to sense it. Before she could even look deeper, she was already dazzled by the treasure inside.
In addition to precious gems and minerals, there were also various alchemical products neatly arranged.
Although Stella hasn't taken them out to examine them closely yet, she can tell from the concentration of magic power she senses that these items are no ordinary things.
"Your Majesty, are all these for me?"
“Yes,” said the Elf King, “you have come of age and it is time for you to travel to the continent.”
"With these, your safety will be better guaranteed."
"Thank you, Your Majesty," Stella hugged him briefly, then quickly let go, glanced around the room, and simply returned to her previous posture.
Although Stella is no longer only the size of a thumb after she grows up, her old things are still usable and don't need to be replaced.
Seeing this, the Elf King said, "Choose the state that makes you most comfortable. The new table and chairs have already been made and are in your room."
“I’ll go see it later,” Stella said. “Right now, I want to spend more time with the King; it will be more convenient that way.”
The things fairies use are small and compact, taking up almost no space. If they were as big as elves, it would certainly be more convenient for them to do many things, but they wouldn't be able to stay in the place closest to the Elf King like they do now.
Stella stayed with the Elf King for a while, then, figuring that Lucas and the others should be heading back by now, she went to find Damian.
Damian was delighted to see Stella as an adult and immediately presented her with a whole wardrobe of new clothes.
Stella glanced at them briefly; there must have been at least several hundred items. "So many, Damian, when did you start preparing these?"
“From the time you become a high-level mage,” Damian didn’t think it was a lot, “wearing one set every day would only last for one or two years.”
"Before, I didn't know your size, Stella, so I could only make a rough estimate and do whatever I could. Now you won't have any left unused items."
“Thank you, Damian,” Stella said, touched. After folding up the wardrobe, she asked, “Hasn’t Lucas arrived yet?”
Damian shook his head: "He came once this morning, and then disappeared without a trace."
“He probably took the elf cubs to play,” Stella laughed. “I haven’t even left the temple yet today, and I just happened to run into Lucas taking a few little cubs to play by the lake.”
"They probably mistook me for a trespasser who broke into the temple, so..."
Stella recounted everything that had happened that morning to Damian, without elaborating.
As Damian listened to Stella's explanation, he immediately understood why Stella wanted to find Lucas.
People rarely go to the temple, let alone play in the lake next to the temple.
Is there really nothing else to do in the Fairy Forest, except for this lake?
By sheer coincidence, Lucas appeared there with the elf cubs and even boldly pushed open the temple door.
Damian frowned: "I'll ask him about it privately."
“Then I’ll leave it to Damian,” Stella said. “I really think it’s strange that they’re doing this.”
There's one more thing Stella didn't mention.
Given her position, she should have been able to feel the pressure from the gods, but neither Lucas nor the elf cubs were affected in any way.
Stella felt that she needed to observe this more closely in the future.
If it were just Lucas and the others who were unaffected at the time, that would be one thing, but if the elves and even fairies didn't feel this way, and only she did, then there might be a lot of problems.
Stella spoke with Damian for a while without making a sound, but Lucas, who had promised to come back to see if Damian could recognize his friend, never showed up.
As darkness fell, Stella decided not to wait any longer and stood up to speak to Damian.
"I'm going back now. Wang said today that I can start preparing to travel on the mainland. Maybe when Damian and you guys go out, I won't be back yet, and I can offer you some help."
"We're going on a journey so soon," Damian said, feeling a rare sense of urgency. After seeing Stella off, he didn't do any crafts but instead started practicing magic.
Stella, upon returning to the palace, quickly sensed the warmth emanating from the mirror and turned to go back to her room.
The newly built table and chairs, modeled after those of the Elf King, are placed by the window. Sitting in the chair, you can see the Mother Tree outside with just a turn of your head.
However, Stella didn't sit down. She found an angle so that the mirror could only show the log cabin-style treehouse before turning on the mirror.
Good night, Catherine.
“Good night, Stella,” Catherine said with a hint of surprise. “I thought I wouldn’t be able to reach you again today.”
“I’m sorry,” Stella said, but a smile she couldn’t hide on her face. “I was busy with something very important the other day, so I couldn’t reply to you.”
“Alright,” Catherine said, feigning forgiveness. “I was originally planning to tell you some good news as soon as possible, but now you’ll be among the last to know.”
"Let me guess," Stella said, feigning thought, "could it be that your curse has been completely lifted?"
“That’s right,” Catherine said, casually casting a fire spell.
Before, it was a miracle if Catherine could even produce a tiny spark at her fingertips, but now, just a few days after the curse was lifted, she can already conjure flames like fireballs.
Catherine then used water magic to extinguish the fire.
"Stella, did you see that?"
Catherine laughed heartily and freely: "Haven't you been impressed by my progress?"
“Of course,” Stella nodded affirmatively. “I also have some good news for you. Would you like to guess it first?”
Catherine was taken aback at first, then realized she had overlooked something.
The current Stella and the wooden house behind her are so different in proportion!
Stella, you're an adult now, aren't you?
“Yes,” Stella’s eyes sparkled, “I haven’t even told my other fairy friends yet!”
