Chapter 604 The New Domain Mystery and the First Manifestation of the Ancestral Will (2)

The Guardians, the Fusion, and the Gatekeepers all had very little energy left, yet they still gritted their teeth and persevered. They knew that once the protective barrier shattered, all existence would be devoured by the phantom and become nourishment for the Dimensional Ancestor.

"This is not the way to go!"

The Guardian's consciousness raced, recalling fragments of memories of the phantom he had previously perceived—in which the beings of the old dimension had discovered a "primordial rift" in the center of the new dimension. This rift contained energy capable of countering the phantom, but before they could utilize it, it was devoured by the phantom.

"There's a primordial rift at the center of this new dimension! The energy there can fight off the phantoms! We must break through!"

Without waiting for a response, the Guardian merged the four-colored energy with the Gatekeeper's black energy and the fused body's white light, forming a "Twin Guiding Light Stream." This light stream could temporarily dispel the phantoms and open a path to the center for everyone.

"Everyone, stay close to the light stream! Don't stray from the group!"

The guardian's consciousness spread to every being. He led the charge towards the center of the new dimension. Wherever the light flowed, the phantoms retreated as if they were ice and snow encountering raging fire, not daring to approach.

As the center of the new dimension drew closer, a black rift gradually appeared before their eyes—this was the Primal Rift. From the rift, "purifying energy," the opposite of the phantom energy, continuously surged forth. This energy could completely shatter the phantom, preventing it from reforming. It was clearly left by the Dimensional Ancestor to "select qualified nutrients," but it became the only hope for the existence of the Great Nothingness.

"Charge into the crevice!"

The guardian's stream of light rushed into the rift first, and the purifying energy immediately enveloped the stream of light, not only dispelling the phantoms attached to it, but also repairing the energy depletion of the stream of light.

Clearly, this rune was the dimensional progenitor's "consciousness anchor point" and also the energy source for the new dimension to devour consciousness.

"As long as this rune is destroyed, the new dimension will no longer be able to devour consciousness!"

The gatekeeper's black energy transformed into a blade of light, ready to attack the runes.

But the guardian stopped them: "You can't destroy it! The runes are the anchor points of the dimensional progenitor's consciousness. Destroying them will awaken the dimensional progenitor prematurely, and our current energy is simply no match for him!"

Furthermore, the purifying energy surrounding the runes is supplied by the runes themselves; once the runes are destroyed, the purifying energy will disappear, and we will be surrounded by the phantom again.

The consciousness of the merged entity suddenly pointed to the patterns on the surface of the runes: "These patterns contain the code for 'consciousness resonance'!"

The guardian immediately nodded and infused the runes with the four colors of energy, attempting to activate the resonance code.

"Resonance requires the synchronization of the consciousness of all beings!"

The merged entity's consciousness was resolute. She infused white light into the consciousness of every being in the void, guiding their consciousness to converge on the same frequency. Without hesitation, all beings in the void actively integrated their consciousness energy into the collective will.

A massive white ball of consciousness formed within the rift, resonating strongly with the patterns of the runes. The black energy on the surface of the runes gradually dissipated, replaced by a pale golden resonance.

When the resonance reaches its peak, the connection between the rune and the source of the new dimension is successfully severed. The phantom outside the rift loses its energy source, begins to dissipate rapidly, and eventually disappears completely into the new dimension.

"We've succeeded! We're safe for now!"

The merged entity's consciousness was filled with excitement. She could sense that the primordial energy of the new dimension was no longer devouring, but instead began to transform into "balanced energy." This was clearly because the rune connection had been severed, and the entity had lost the control of the dimensional progenitor.

The Guardian, however, remained vigilant, his consciousness sinking into the runes, attempting to find a way to leave the new dimension.

A new message suddenly appeared on the surface of the rune: "The new dimensional portal has been permanently closed. The only way to leave is to find the 'sleeping place' of the dimensional progenitor, obtain the 'progenitor key', and reopen the interdimensional portal."

The clues to the slumbering land are hidden within the 'ancient ruins' of the new dimension; only by passing the trials of these ruins can the clues be obtained.

The information disappeared, the runes returned to calm, and the purifying energy in the rift began to slowly weaken. This was clearly because the connection had been severed, and the energy could not be supplied continuously. It could only last for three days at most. After three days, the purifying energy would disappear, and the primordial energy of the new dimension might regain its devouring nature, and might even awaken a part of the consciousness of the dimensional progenitor.

Without objection from all beings of the Great Void, they emerged from the rift, led by the Guardians, the Merged Ones, and the Gatekeepers, and headed towards the ancient ruins.

A colossal black shadow emerged from the void, its outline perfectly mirroring the consciousness fluctuations of the Dimensional Progenitor. Though merely a blurry phantom, it exuded a suffocating sense of oppression, emanating a chilling consciousness:

"You are the first dimensional beings to sever the rune connections."

The trials of ancient ruins, the traps of the dimensional progenitors, the hope of leaving the new dimension... All the suspense converges at this moment. The survival journey in the new dimension of nothingness officially begins the instant the gates of the ruins open.
