NBA's King of Talking

Chapter 760: 9 All-Star Teams and All-Defensive Teams

Chapter 760: 9 All-Star Teams and All-Defensive Teams

Jia Fei didn't even bother to respond to the gun king's provocation. What was there to respond to? He'd already won; he'd let the other guy taste the gunfire himself...

On May 3, the NBA officially announced the winner of the 2022-23 NBA regular season MVP award!

Jia Fei won the award for the second consecutive time, becoming the first player in league history to win it eight times! Jia Fei not only won the MVP award eight times, but also won it seven times in a row, all of which set NBA records.

The NBA doesn't want to give it to him, they really don't. They want to give it to Jokic, Embiid, Tatum, and Giannis, but not giving it to Jia Fei is simply unacceptable. His advantages are too great, both in terms of individual statistics and team record… so great that he's two steps ahead of the other candidates. To ensure the award isn't unfair, you have to give it to him!

If any of these MVP candidates had been better than Jia Fei in either individual performance or team record, the league would undoubtedly have given the MVP trophy to him. Unfortunately, no one did!

So while it may seem like there are several MVP candidates, in reality, there is only one true candidate: Jia Fei.

The news of Jia Fei winning the MVP award didn't even cause a stir in the public. Everyone was already used to him winning this award, and many people even suggested that the award should be renamed the "Jia Fei Award" instead of the MVP trophy.

Even so, the honor is real, and Jia Fei's trophy collection has been expanded with another highly prestigious award!

On May 4th, the Clippers vs. Grizzlies series will play Game 2!

The Grizzlies did not change their lineup.

In this game, the Grizzlies made some adjustments, increasing their screens to create more jump shot opportunities for Bane. Bane drove to the basket more aggressively, and even when blocked, he continued to press forward with commendable spirit.

The Clippers' perimeter defense was so good that Bane couldn't get comfortable shooting opportunities. The Gunner's attacks were effective, and Hartenstein quickly accumulated two fouls and had to leave the game.

Hatten dismounted, and Alda immediately followed.

Alda immediately put the Clippers into a five-outside lineup, quickly stretching the offensive spacing and making it even harder for the Grizzlies to defend.

But after Aldridge joined the team, the Grizzlies' attacks on the Clippers' paint became more effective, and the Clippers' paint defense began to weaken.

The Grizzlies relentlessly attacked the Clippers' interior, resulting in several Clippers big men accumulating numerous fouls throughout the game!

Aldama gets into foul trouble, Art Mayork comes on.

The Clippers' interior players aren't key offensive contributors, so their foul trouble won't have a significant negative impact. Their offseason strategy of stockpiling interior players has paid off; their four big men have a combined 20 fouls. Try and outplay them all!

Even the best shooter gets tired, and referees don't call fouls on every drive and foul. So even though the Clippers had a lot of fouls in the paint, the Grizzlies' offense was actually intermittent and unable to mount a continuous attack.

The scene looked quite exciting, but when you looked at the score, the Clippers were firmly in the lead, easily dominating the game.

Ultimately, the Clippers easily defeated the Grizzlies in Game 2, taking a 2-0 lead in the series.

The Grizzlies lost two games in a row, and they certainly tried their best in this one. Their star player swung so hard his back almost broke, and his gun nearly exploded, but they still lost. They really had no answer!

The gap in ability is obvious, and sometimes it can't be caught up simply by hard work.

On May 7th, the Clippers vs. Grizzlies series will play Game 3!

The Grizzlies finally changed their lineup in this game!

They pulled out their blue-collar center Tillman and replaced him with shooter Kennard, playing a small lineup!

Clearly, the Grizzlies fielded a do-or-die lineup; they were fighting with their backs against the wall, it was all or nothing!

Because if they lose Game 3, the series will be over!

With Kennard on the roster, the Grizzlies' height dropped instantly. While Tillman isn't tall either, he's over 2 meters tall, broad-shouldered, strong, and a solid inside presence.

Kennard was a white guard with limited athleticism, but he was good at shooting three-pointers.

Clearly, after trying out two defensive lineups and finding them ineffective, the Grizzlies decided to give up and focus on offense against the Clippers.

After the game started, Kennard's presence forced the Clippers' defense to spread out, giving the Gunner more space to break through.

The Gunner's penetration became deeper and more decisive, finally allowing the Grizzlies' offense to flow smoothly.

However, the Grizzlies' defense was truly unstoppable. Kennard was a liability, and Gunner himself wasn't very good at defense. 3J looked tall, but his rebounding was poor, while Hartenstein was frantically grabbing offensive rebounds.

Kennard's presence gave Jia Fei another target to target, and he played too easily, forcing the Grizzlies to double-team him.

Double-teaming is useless, as many opponents have already proven. Double-teaming Jia Fei means that the Clippers' shooters will have a lot of open looks, as was the case in this game, where the Clippers made 21 three-pointers and directly killed the Grizzlies.

In this high-scoring battle, the Clippers emerged victorious, taking a 3-0 lead in the series!

After this game, many people already knew that the Grizzlies were finished, and it was only a matter of time before they were swept.

On May 9th, the Clippers vs. Grizzlies series will play Game 4!

No miracle occurred, and the Clippers defeated the Grizzlies once again, sweeping their opponents and becoming the first team to advance to the Western Conference Finals!

This marks the Clippers' seventh consecutive season reaching the Western Conference Finals, as they race towards their sixth consecutive championship, seemingly unstoppable!

The other matchup between the Suns and the Nuggets is very close, with the Nuggets currently in the lead and having a better chance of advancing.

In the entire Western Conference, apart from the Nuggets having the potential to pose a challenge to the Clippers, the other teams are indeed not good enough to be their opponents; this is almost a consensus among everyone.

On May 11, the NBA officially announced the All-NBA Teams for the 2022-23 season!

The players selected for the All-NBA First Team are Jia Fei, Doncic, Tatum, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Embiid!

This marks Jia Fei's ninth All-NBA selection in his career, including eight First Team selections.

Almost simultaneously, the league officially announced the All-Defensive Team for this season.

The players selected for the All-Defensive First Team are Jia Fei, Bridges, 3J, Mobley, and Lopez!

This marks Jia Fei's ninth selection to the All-Defensive Team in his NBA career, including eight First Team selections.

Basically, his All-NBA Team and All-Defensive Team selections were always synchronized, and apart from one Third Team selection and one Second Team selection, all his other selections were First Team and First Team selections, making him a typical all-around star in the league.

Jia Fei has amassed a plethora of accolades, leaving only the championship and Finals MVP trophies as the remaining uncertainties. If he wins both, he will once again dominate the league standings this season.

Many haters are now pinning their hopes on Jokic and the Nuggets, hoping they can stop Jia Fei from continuing his climb to the top.
