But Guanyin Bodhisattva, if you look through the record of good and evil, you'll see how many good deeds that woman I just mentioned has done for ordinary people over the years. The field of blessings she has cultivated is truly boundless!

If we hadn't blessed her with a perfect couple, perhaps there would be a saying in the world: "Doing good deeds will always be rewarded?" No! No! Absolutely not!

Just look at that old lady surnamed Kui and you'll know! Doing good deeds doesn't necessarily bring good results; some ill-intentioned people will spread rumors and distort the good deeds that old lady Kui has done.

Some people who don't understand the truth might think that doing good deeds doesn't necessarily bring good fortune. Look at how many good things that old lady surnamed Kui has done for us, yet she still hasn't gotten pregnant.

I think it won't be long before she's kicked out of her home by her wicked mother-in-law. Guanyin Bodhisattva, how can you bear to see such a kind person go down a bad path just because she can't stand the gossip of others?

Guanyin Bodhisattva shook her head helplessly upon hearing what Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva said.

It's not that I'm unwilling to give this kind-hearted woman a pair of well-behaved and adorable children! It's just that her family slaughters two to three pigs every day. The karmic debt of killing they incur is truly immense!

Having spent so much time in hell, you know why no one is ever reborn into her family as a child. Even if someone were to be reborn into their family as a child, they would be a dull and stupid person.

If only a woman of unparalleled beauty were willing to transform into an ordinary village girl and descend to earth to enlighten this family, so they would no longer make a living by killing animals.

Haha! Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, you want me to transform into a village girl and descend to earth to enlighten this family? Just say it directly, why beat around the bush like this? Actually, to be honest, I really am going to descend to the mortal world for a while now.

This happens to be the village where your mother-in-law lives, as you mentioned. Because a major disaster is about to occur in this village.

My purpose in descending to the mortal realm this time is to rescue some well-behaved people from this disaster.

Not only that, but to prevent this village from perishing in this great disaster, I will teach the villagers to pick a wild grass called Nan Gu in the fields.

Hmm! Don't you think it's a bit of a shame that such a beautiful, ethereal village has disappeared from this world? Although the village was small, all the people who lived there were incredibly kind-hearted and devoted to Buddhism.

It's no exaggeration to say that this little village is the only way to our Western Paradise! But there's one thing I really can't understand: why would such a wonderful little village suffer such a devastating blow?
