They were enjoying their time together, but others were envious. Suddenly, Liu put down her chopsticks, the crisp sound immediately drawing their attention.

Ji Tianci looked at her blankly, and Madam Liu couldn't help but whisper angrily, "Second Young Master, you're being too ridiculous!"

"What's wrong with me?" He was still a little confused. His aunt had suddenly gotten angry, and he didn't know what he had done wrong.

Ji Meiqing, however, understood perfectly well. She kept her eyes down and ignored these things. Instead, she patted his hair and said kindly, "Thank you, but there's no need for that. If I start eating, the others won't be able to eat. You should eat by yourself. Your thoughtfulness is enough for me."

After saying that, she pushed the bowl and chopsticks back, and Ji Tianci lowered his head.

Madam Ji, however, couldn't resist intervening and said indifferently, "Liu, the Second Miss is going back to her parents' home. Who are you trying to impress with this angry look?"

"I know I was wrong." Madam Liu was startled and obediently lowered her head.

Madam Ji glanced at Ji Meiqing, then said to Madam Liu, "Since that's the case, you don't need to eat lunch or dinner. Go to the Buddhist hall to copy scriptures and reflect on your temperament."

Ji Meiqing remained silent, her head bowed as she fiddled with her fingers, a faint smile on her face, as if nothing had anything to do with her.

Madam Ji was taken aback, then looked at Madam Liu, a sarcastic smile appearing on her lips.

She glanced up at Liu Shi and saw her glaring at her resentfully. Ji Meiqing rolled her eyes at her and then ignored her.

Being used as a pawn and still blaming her own daughter—what an awful mother! Ji Meiqing didn't bother to plead for her and continued daydreaming.

After the food on the table was cleared away, everyone wiped their mouths and returned to the living room, looking at Ji Meiqing with the same solemnity as if they were conducting a joint trial.

Ji Tianzhuo, who had been suppressing his anger, walked over and asked in a cold voice, "Why did you frame me and ruin the reputation of the Ji family?"

"What are you talking about?" Ji Meiqing asked, looking completely bewildered.

"If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes that day at the cosmetics shop, I would never have known you were such a vicious person." As he said this, fearing that others might not understand, he added, "That girl was clearly hired by you to deliberately cause trouble at my wedding banquet!"

"Is this true?" Madam Ji stood up, looking at Ji Tianzhuo without asking Ji Meiqing, and then said, "Second Miss, how could you treat Tianzhuo like this? He is still your brother!"

"How did I treat him?" Ji Meiqing looked at her curiously.

"No matter how much you act recklessly, you can't let your brother fall into injustice!" She looked sorrowful and helpless, then said to Master Ji, who hadn't spoken until now, "Look, our Ji family has treated the Second Miss with a clear conscience, so why is she treating us like this!"

Ji Mei calmly took a sip of tea and continued watching them act.

"Second Miss, let's not even talk about your marriage to this stranger. Why didn't you tell us first before getting married? Marriage is a major life event, and parents should make the decisions! What kind of place do you think you are putting the Ji family here!"

After finishing the water in her cup, Ji Meiqing dusted off her clothes and stood up.

“The Ji family? I’m sorry, I forgot to tell you. But it won’t happen again.” She smiled. “I’m here today, not for a proper homecoming, but mainly to sever this parent-child relationship and leave with nothing.”

Everyone in the hall was stunned, but Ji Tianci looked at his sister in disbelief, "Sister, this can't be real!"

"I'm sorry, it's true." She spread her hands helplessly. "To the Ji family, I'm nothing but dispensable... and besides, I'm tired of you all."

Master Ji stood up, his eyes blazing with anger, and roared, "How dare you!"

"What's there to be afraid of?" Ji Meiqing retorted defiantly. "You're no good person, and the Ji family isn't any better, so why shouldn't I be?"

"You..." He didn't know where the strength came from, but he walked straight in front of her. Fortunately, Lu Yu stopped Ji Meiqing.

With a muffled groan, Ji Meiqing's expression changed drastically, her face immediately contorting.

"I'm fine." Lu Yu pulled her into his arms and comforted her softly.

Although Ji Meiqing's anger had not subsided, she calmed down and looked at Old Master Ji coldly, saying, "This time, I will let it slide because I still bear the Ji family name. But next time, I will make you pay for what you have done."

"You!" Old Master Ji looked her up and down with disdain. Ji Meiqing didn't say anything more, but looked at Ji Tianzhuo.

"And you, you're always running amok, only knowing how to eat, drink, gamble, and whore. You're still not satisfied even after marrying one. I hope you get syphilis soon!" she said sarcastically, then looked at the people in the room and said with unusual indifference, "Truly, birds of a feather flock together.
