Chapter 200 Aren't You Going Home?
The police arrived soon.
He Tian was taken away by the police.
He Baolai asked with some concern, "Is he alright?"
"Who knows?" I looked at him meaningfully. "Anyway, you're his son. If he hit you, it's your business whether you want to sue him or not."
“I’m not suing him.” He Baolai frowned. “He’s still my dad, after all.”
“Even if you don’t report him, he might not let you and Caiyun off the hook.” I patted his shoulder: “Given his temper, he’ll definitely deal with you. Think it through.”
He Baolai still couldn't make up his mind.
A dark glint flashed in my eyes: "You decide what to do."
After that, I went with the police to give a statement.
After giving my statement, I walked out of the police station.
He Baolai was still guarding the door.
“Don’t wait any longer, he’s going to be detained for seven days.” I walked over and said, “You have to figure out what to do next. You have to make your own choices in life, you can’t always wait for someone else to decide for you.”
“I know.” He Baolai lowered his head: “Actually, I went to Xinjing City to find my mother.”
"Your mother is in Xinjing City?" I asked curiously.
“Hmm.” He Baolai nodded, his eyes filled with longing: “She left after she divorced my dad and now works as a nanny. Every time she comes back to see me, my dad beats her and drives her away. I don’t want her to be beaten, so I want to go find him.”
“He Baolai, your mother doesn’t know how to use the law to protect herself, but you must remember that some things don’t have to be endured silently. You have to fight when necessary.” I urged, “Think about your mother. Shouldn’t you stand up for her sake?”
He Bao joked about himself: "My dad despised me because my mom divorced him. He thought I was useless, so he spent money to marry my aunt from a faraway place and have her give birth to a son for him, saying he would raise him from scratch."
I comforted him, "He's just trash, why bother caring what he says?"
"Then do you think we can believe what that man named Huo Yubai says?" He Baolai asked.
"He keeps his word." I said with a smile.
"I shouldn't have asked you," He Baolai muttered under his breath. "You two are obviously a couple."
"How did you figure that out?" I asked, puzzled.
“I’m not blind.” He Bao looked into my eyes, his ears turning red without me noticing. “You’re good-looking, and he’s alright.”
I chuckled to myself: "Actually, you're pretty blind."
"Good-looking men are all womanizers." He Baolai said with an air of seriousness, "This is based on my experience."
"Have you ever been fooled by a handsome man?" I teased.
"What!" he retorted. "I'm handsome myself, of course I know what good-looking men think."
I was both amused and exasperated: "Alright, it's getting late, let's hurry home."
"Can you take me with you?" He looked at me hesitantly. "I can do anything, clean and wash clothes."
“You don’t need to do these things.” Huo Yubai stood not far away, exuding a deep and solemn aura like the calm before a storm.
"Sister, I'm leaving." He Baolai grinned and said, "Brother, be careful. There's no doubt that you're not the only one who likes such a beautiful sister."
He Baolai turned and left.
Huo Yubai walked up to me: "Are you injured?"
"I'm fine." I looked at him casually. "Why are you back so soon?"
"I should have stayed." He looked at me with concern, a hint of annoyance flashing in his eyes, as if a swarm of bees was swarming inside his chest.
“Whether you leave or not, things will still happen.” I shrugged. “Besides, He Tian is so strong, and you’re so thin, I might have to protect you.”
He lowered his eyes, his eyelashes trembling slightly: "I'm sorry."
"What are you apologizing for?" I looked at him; his eyes were somewhat dark. "Didn't you sleep all night?"
"Yeah." He nodded.
"Don't you care about your body?" I frowned and scolded.
He looked at me, his dark eyes revealing my worry.
I was slightly taken aback. No matter how much I denied it, my expression had already betrayed me.
"Let's go." I turned around. "We have to get back tonight."
"I'll handle He Tian." Huo Yubai wanted to avenge me.
“Just follow the rules.” I explained, “I don’t want to put He Baolai and Caiyun in a difficult position, given their relationship.”
Moreover, this is just a minor incident, and it can't really do anything to He Tian.
We have to wait until he makes a big mistake before we can really get rid of him.
Huo Yubai pulled me into his car and told me to ride back with him.
“Dai Chen’an and the others have already gone back, and they won’t be at the hotel when you get back,” Huo Yubai explained. “So you’re coming back with me.”
"That's good." I said, "I was worried that the people from Hejia Village would cause them trouble."
Huo Yubai sat down next to me without saying a word.
A few minutes later.
I fell asleep in the back seat.
Seeing that I was leaning against the car window and the ride was a bit bumpy, Huo Yubai put my head on his shoulder.
I was completely unaware of what was happening, and I adjusted my position to make myself more comfortable.
Huo Yubai's ears gradually turned red, his nostrils filled with the delicate fragrance of my body, his arm went around my waist and gently embraced me, a smile of great satisfaction on his face.
-
When I woke up again, the scene before me had become very familiar.
This is the way back to the villa.
I looked up and frowned slightly as I gazed at Huo Yubai's sharply defined jawline.
“You came close to me, I didn’t carry you,” he explained.
"What, are you feeling wronged?" My beautiful eyes were tinged with a hint of anger. "I was asleep, unconscious. Don't make it sound like I took advantage of you."
Huo Yubai's unfathomable eyes were full of laughter: "It's my fault, I deliberately let you take advantage of me."
I moved away from him and turned to look out the window.
Almost home.
The car quickly stopped at the entrance.
Huo Yubai and I got off the bus together.
"Aren't you going home?" I asked.
“They’re all with you, and I’m worried about them,” he explained. “We haven’t figured out the situation yet, and I don’t want you to get hurt again.”
He was heartbroken.
"It's not as serious as you say," I said. "Anyway, they're all connected to you, so let's include them all."
We walked into the villa.
Shen Xingyuan breathed a sigh of relief when he saw us return.
"Thank you for your hard work." I said with a smile.
"Honestly, none of them are normal. Aren't you afraid your mother will get hurt?" Shen Xingyuan muttered.
"Isn't it you who's here?" I laughed. "If you can still hurt her while you're here, then you really don't need to stay here anymore."
Shen Xingyuan snorted.
"Liang Hui," I called out.
Liang Hui came out of the lounge on the first floor: "Professor Shen, you're back?"
"Thank you for your hard work these past two days. Could you please bring all three of them over for me? I have some questions to ask."
"Ok."
Liang Hui sent someone to bring them back.
after awhile.
My mom came down with me.
When He Xi saw me, he looked furious: "What exactly happened to your mother?"
