Xi Yu's finger had already pulled the trigger. The girl panicked and couldn't help but shout to stop him: "Stop! Stop! He's not a kidnapper, he's my bodyguard!!"
"Too late." Xi Yu smiled coldly and pulled the trigger.
A gunshot rang out, and the girl's legs went weak, causing her to kneel on the ground.
Xi Yu, however, remained calm and watched her. She hadn't actually fired a shot; she had only made a show of it.
She spun the pistol around once and casually tossed it in front of the man: "Just kidding, this gun won't start if the safety isn't off."
The girl finally came to her senses, her face showing a humiliated expression: "You...you dare to tease me like this..."
Xi Yu shrugged and turned to leave.
She had realized from the beginning that the girl and the man in black knew each other, and that her previous pleas for help were not genuine. She had no interest in playing along with them.
"Stop right there! Don't go! Xiao Hei, grab her!" The girl, humiliated, was furious and shouted at Xi Yu's retreating figure, ordering the man in black to grab her.
Xi Yu stopped in her tracks, a cold glint flashing in her eyes. She hated trouble the most, but if trouble came knocking on her door, she wouldn't be polite.
Although the man in black was unwilling, he could not disobey the order. Just as he was about to step forward, a clear, cold voice came from behind and stopped him.
"Obsidian, stop."
Upon hearing the voice, the man in black immediately stiffened, his head hanging low like a child who had done something wrong, timidly waiting to be scolded.
Xi Yu looked over curiously. He was an outstanding man. He wasn't particularly handsome, but he had a mysterious and transcendent aura that made everyone around him pale in comparison, making it impossible not to notice him.
What Xi Yu noticed first wasn't the man's appearance, but rather his all-seeing gaze. What attracted her most, however, was his spiritual power…it was incredibly high, higher than most people, even higher than her own at her current level!
Xi Yu couldn't help but glance at him a few times.
"Third Brother!" As soon as the girl saw the man appear, she ran happily to his side, pointed at Xi Yu, and cried out aggrievedly, "Third Brother, she bullied me!"
Yan San glanced down at her and said calmly, "Xiao Shuang, are you sure you want to lie to me?"
Yue Zhengshuang shrank her neck and bit her lower lip, not daring to speak.
"Obsidian, step back," Yan San ordered the black-clad man who had been standing there motionless.
At Yan San's command, Obsidian quickly retreated to the back, not daring to meet his eyes, looking completely obedient, which made Yue Zheng Shuang glare at him with exasperation.
Yan San walked up to Xi Yu, bowed and apologized: "My younger sister is too willful and loves to play around, which has caused you trouble. I apologize to you on her behalf."
Although he spoke apologetically with a respectful attitude, Xi Yu felt a sense of oppression from his aura, especially his cold gaze, which made people subconsciously afraid to look him in the eye.
This is the kind of intimidating presence that comes with someone who has been in a position of power for many years.
Xi Yu waved her hand dismissively. It was just a little girl being unreasonable, and she hadn't intended to delve into it from the start; otherwise, she wouldn't have just scared her away.
"Children's upbringing is very important. Be more careful in the future, and don't let the child go astray." After giving her a lecture, Xi Yu looked at her watch. A lot of time had passed, and if she didn't go back soon, she was afraid she would be late for school again.
