The Absolute Godspeed of Infinite Worlds

Chapter 637 - 637

Chapter 637 - 637

"Under normal circumstances, of course not. It wouldn't matter who Nero falls in love with. But the situation here is special. To compete for the UO throne, the Grand Servants and Beasts that have already appeared will eventually gather here."Romulus looked inexplicably solemn as he continued, "Have you ever heard of the name 'Great Whore of Babylon'?"

...

Even after leaving the Roman conglomerate's headquarters, Eiji still wore a dazed expression.

He had learned something far too explosive from Romulus.

"Holy moly, is my relationship with Nero really that terrifying?"

Eiji rubbed his arms, unable to suppress the chill running down his spine.

The New Testament's Book of Revelation records that the Great Whore of Babylon rides a scarlet beast with seven heads and ten horns, dressed in purple and scarlet garments, holding a golden cup filled with abominable things.

The Bible considers her the "mother of all abominations," utterly wicked.

This Great Whore of Babylon is generally considered a representation of the Roman Empire, reflecting the extreme hatred Christians felt toward the Roman Empire around the first century AD.

But in the Type-Moon World, the Great Whore of Babylon and the Beast of Revelation also symbolize a form of human love.

Yet extreme human love represents extreme human evil.

In other words, it is precisely a Beast.

According to the Divine Ancestor's explanation, Beast VI should manifest in Nero.

It seems there's a chain reaction among Beasts - once one Beast awakens, others will successively appear in the world, bringing ruin to humanity.

In this FGO-background world where Beasts have already awakened one after another, Beast VI's awakening is inevitable, and it will most likely appear in this Singularity.

That means eventually, a Beast Nero will appear before Eiji.

"Damn it, this Singularity is dangerous everywhere!"

Eiji kept rubbing his arms.

Setting BB aside for now, he's already being targeted by Kama, and in the future, he might be targeted by Beast Nero too.

Why not have Tiamat and Kama both target him while we're at it!

Can this world get any worse?

"Ah, I'm exhausted."

Eiji slumped directly into a chair.

The Divine Ancestor had summoned him specifically to tell him this.

Being in a relationship with Nero isn't something to be taken lightly - otherwise, he might get torn apart by Beast Nero!

Mata Hari watched him with awe, thinking, "As expected of Lord Romulus - just one appearance had scared him into this state."

Around noon, Eiji returned to Type-Moon Academy.

As soon as he returned to school, he buried himself in Scáthach's office, spending the entire day in intense training.

It wasn't until nearly evening that he stumbled out of the office looking dazed, completely drained.

"What happened to you?"

He had arranged to meet Aoko at the school gate, and she was startled when she saw him.

"Nothing, just tired from training."

Eiji sighed deeply, his gaze distant.

"Where's Arcueid?"

"About that..."

Aoko began to explain.

In the morning, Arcueid went to the forest where she had previously fought Roa, allowing her compass to capture Roa's scent. The compass proved remarkably effective, immediately pointing her toward the location in the city where Roa's scent was strongest.

"It's the school!" Aoko declared with a serious expression.

Indeed.

The place with the strongest concentration of Roa's scent turned out to be Type-Moon Academy!

Arcueid frantically searched the school all day long.

Yet, there was no trace of Roa to be found!

Even though the compass indicated Roa was inside the school, not a single hair of his could be located anywhere on campus!

Refusing to give up, Arcueid continued wandering around the school even now, determined to uncover Roa's whereabouts.

"The compass shows he's here, but you still can't find him?" Eiji also furrowed his brows deeply.

"Type-Moon Academy is a place where dragons and tigers hide."

This was undoubtedly the center of the entire Singularity!

Powerful figures like Goetia, BB, Scáthach, and Merlin had all gathered at Type-Moon Academy, resulting in the school being filled with countless secrets.

"Boom!"

Soon, a loud explosion echoed through the air.

"What was that noise?"

The two exchanged glances and immediately rushed toward the source of the sound.

Near the school playground.

Arcueid's gaze was sharp, her entire body radiating an overwhelming aura as she descended from the sky like a meteor, crashing into the ground and creating a massive crater.

"Arcueid, what the hell are you doing?" Eiji arrived near the playground and stared at the destruction she had caused, his lips twitching violently.

If there had been anyone at the school, the entire student body and faculty would have been drawn here by the commotion.

"Now that I think about it, Arcueid's destructive power after fully recovering is terrifying..." Eiji clicked his tongue inwardly.

He had no idea how she managed it, but the crater at her feet was at least forty meters in diameter and about two stories deep, destroying nearly half of the playground.

When she had fought him before, she probably hadn't been going all out.

"Eiji, you're here?" Upon seeing him, the cold intensity on Arcueid's face quickly vanished, replaced by a pout of complaint.

She leaped lightly out of the crater.

"I was planning to dig three feet into the ground to find Roa!"

Aoko stared at her in stunned silence, as if looking at a complete fool.

"Thump!"

Eiji punched her on the head.

"Ouch! Why did you hit me?" Arcueid rubbed her head, pouting and looking at him with grievance.

"Can you stop doing things only idiots would do with such a serious face?!" Eiji couldn't help but grab her ear and yell into it.

He had just told Aoko that Type-Moon Academy was a den of hidden experts, and now Arcueid had gone and caused such a huge scene. What if it attracted some strange beings?

Do you just have to stir up trouble to feel satisfied?!

"Idiot? What idiot! I'm not an idiot, okay!" Arcueid swatted Eiji's hand away, refuting him with clear dissatisfaction.

"Look!" She indignantly pointed to the side.

Following her gaze—

"Holy shit, where's the crater?" Eiji's eyes widened in disbelief.

Where's the crater?

Where did that huge crater go?

"I fixed it!" Arcueid proudly lifted her chin, beaming with pride.

"With my Marble Phantasm, repairing damage of this level is a piece of cake!"

Alright then.

Marble Phantasm is amazing.

"But there's no need to keep searching here."

Eiji patted his forehead, calming his somewhat agitated heart.

"Roa is likely hiding somewhere beyond normal sight. Continuing to search would be meaningless."

He fully disclosed his previous conversation with Scáthach.

Even Scáthach couldn't locate Roa now, despite having Clairvoyance. Spatial barriers meant nothing to her.

"Even Clairvoyance can't find him?"

Arcueid's expression stiffened upon hearing this, her face visibly filled with disappointment.

"Though I don't know why, Roa is clearly hiding very deeply now. I'll have Alice focus on monitoring the school from now on. Let's head back for today."

Eiji sighed.
